ᐅ Where is the roller shutter box located, and where am I allowed to drill?

Hi everyone,

We would like to install curtains, but all the rooms already have roller blinds.
Does anyone know how far the roller blind boxes extend? We would prefer not to drill in the wrong place.
The strap is already mounted a bit away from the window, so I would guess that the boxes are located at the strap position and then nothing beyond that.
Open window with a view of a green tree outside; bright interior.

Tap on the box. You can usually hear clearly where the box ends.

Based on the same issue, we screwed the rods/strips to the ceiling and used corresponding spacer bars to adjust the height accordingly...

This also makes more structural sense...

You are right about that. However, the right wall is angled, and the curtain might not fully cover the window in that case.
I would simply check exactly where the box ends and drill there.

Alternatively: Open the box and measure.

I suspect there is no visible end of the box here at all.
