In the neighborhood, a street over, a house was also built with geothermal heating last year. Maybe that’s a good sign.

If drilling has already been done in the neighborhood without causing any faults, that is a good sign.

Due to the issues in the neighboring town, geothermal drilling is no longer permitted here.

Hmm, well, maybe I’m oversimplifying it, but:

if I extract energy from the "ground," meaning from the soil or water (energy source), it must somehow regenerate for me to continue drawing energy.

Are there cases where a system became unusable because the energy was “all used up”?

One of my heating specialists mentioned something like that… that’s why he would always prefer to spread the system over a larger area rather than going deeper.
