Hello everyone,

We are currently looking for exterior wall lights for our house.
It is important to us that they are up/down lights and as bright as possible.
Does anyone have any recommendations or which lights do you use on your house wall?

Best regards

None at all, as I’m not a fan of light pollution. Only a spotlight with a motion sensor at the garage. Otherwise, everything stays dark.

If the plastering is not done well, it quickly results in a surface that clearly resembles a cratered landscape.

I completely agree with you. However, we do need lighting at the front door (controlled by a motion sensor) as well as on the terrace.

Then up/down lights are the wrong choice.

What would you recommend for that?
What are the disadvantages of using up/down lights?
