Hello everyone!

During our house planning, we thought about skipping the installation of extra halogen sockets (which would have been quite expensive with our provider) and instead using surface-mounted spotlights.
However, I have now realized that with LED spots, there are models available that should fit into 60mm (2.4 inches) flush-mounted boxes.
Has anyone done this or found suitable ones? Basically, I am looking for white, adjustable spotlights with 2700K.

Thanks and best regards!

Where does that measurement come from? Who does something like that and why?

I’m too lazy right now to paste the first 1,867 results here when I search for LED spots with a 60mm (2.4 inches) cutout size. The internet is full of them.

Don’t think that will work... either they still need a transformer and so on – but where would that go? Or without a transformer, GU10 type bulbs – but there isn’t enough depth for those....

Just use surface-mounted spotlights....

Standard 230 volts – I would only use ones without a transformer anyway. They also come in a flat version – they only require 35mm (1.4 inches) height and can be easily tilted. This is pretty standard nowadays.

Because that is the size of a standard ceiling outlet box, and everyone installs that in a concrete ceiling. Exactly: 1867 doesn’t necessarily mean they are high quality or that it works well. I was asking for a recommendation.

No, it isn’t. But okay.

What does "high-quality" mean to you? I’ve installed so many of these spotlights costing from €5 (around $5.50) each, some direct imports from China and some branded products. So far, I haven’t noticed any real difference. Just pick something that looks good (with the right beam angle and desired light color, etc.) – if they’re very affordable, maybe buy a few as spares and enjoy the lighting.
You really can’t give a recommendation here. It’s like saying, "I’m looking for a red car – give me a recommendation!"
