Hello everyone,

Our windows in the living area (south side, upper floor) seem to be leaking. We have been dealing with this issue since we moved in (11/23). The window installer has already been here several times to supposedly fix the problem. Various joints on the outside were resealed with polymer. The last time, they briefly removed the window and did some work, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to be there. The problem has reoccurred during the recent heavy rain.

If the next attempt doesn’t improve the situation, I will probably have to hire an expert and consider legal action.

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this or what points I could mention to the window installers?

One more note: At first, the damp spots were clearly visible above the windowsill. Since the installers applied polymer to the joints there, the problem now only occurs beneath the window.
Interior wall with damp spots below the window, white plinth and wooden floor.

Wall with moisture damage, gray spots below window and baseboard.

Get a building expert involved. Maybe the external sealing is just poorly done. Are there any photos of it?

No, unfortunately no one was present during the installation. When I arrived, the windows and window sills were already installed, so I cannot say exactly how it looks underneath.
