Hello everyone,

We have a walk-in shower with very small tiles. As you can imagine, cleaning the large number of grout lines all the time is incredibly annoying.
Therefore, we are considering making the shower floor as grout-free as possible, if that is feasible.

Is there a way to concrete the floor, or is there nothing on the market that would be moisture-resistant?

Best regards,
Dirk

Concrete Ciré or similar products. However, it is quite complex and rather expensive. Alternatively, a large tile up to the drain and smaller pieces on the sides and behind it.

Thanks to you @nordanney. I will ask a professional company about how much it would cost.

Can you imagine why these tiny tiles with many grout lines were installed? Or were only small-format tiles available in the past?

Just think about a wet tile.

Because it looks good. I installed something similar myself in the bathroom just the year before last (natural slate). Very slip-resistant, easy to clean, and ideal for various slope designs, especially if you have standard water (I have no issues with the grout).

Small mosaics are still very popular today and are used in all shapes and colors.

I agree, but that was also a leading question to the original poster. It could have simply been written: Think twice about the seamless shower; you might slip and break your pelvis or femoral neck. Amen.
