Good evening,
I’m looking for some suggestions for the tile pattern in my walk-in shower.
Since I have the linear drain installed diagonally in the corner, it’s been challenging to make this work in reality.
I managed to get the screed done quite well, thanks to this forum.
How would you lay the tiles in this shower?
The tiles measure 60 x 60 cm (24 x 24 inches).
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

I would work with two slopes: one sloping toward the central joint and the central joint itself sloping toward the drain. It roughly runs toward the drain in the middle, at least that's how it looks to me. Or am I mistaken?

I would work with two slopes: one towards the central joint and the central joint itself sloping towards the drain. It roughly runs centrally to it, at least that’s what my eye says. Or is that wrong?Yes, exactly, I mean the slope.
I need to cut the tiles so that there is a slope from the left edge towards the drain, and also from the right side.
Would it be possible for you to mark on the photos how you would cut and lay the tiles?

Would it be possible for you to mark on the photos how you would cut and lay the tiles? I don’t fully understand the question. You don’t create the slope in a tiled surface by cutting the tiles. The substrate (screed or adhesive) needs to create that slope. I would arrange it so that:
a) the tiles slope from both the left AND right sides toward the center joint
b) the center joint itself slopes toward the channel drain
c) the lowest point is where the center joint meets the drain
I’m not sure if I can draw that, but I can visualize it.

I don’t quite understand the question. You can’t create a slope in a tiled area just by cutting the tiles. The subfloor (screed or adhesive) has to provide that. I would design it so that:
a) the tiles slope towards the central joint from both the left and right sides
b) the central joint itself then slopes towards the drain
c) the lowest point is where the central joint meets the drain
I’m not sure if I can draw this, but I can imagine it. I see what you mean, but if I start from where I’m standing in the photos and slope towards the central joint, wouldn’t the central joint actually be lower than the edges? Or won’t the slight edge that occurs be a big issue?

Or will this slight edge that forms not be such a big issue? I had it in my mind that it might work, although on the left side I don’t have a slope toward the middle joint, but on the right side I do.
On the right side, because of the slope going inward, I end up with a small step again.
