Hello,

we are planning to buy a house that has rough plaster on the interior walls (which is partly damaged, with some flaking and dents).

Do you have a rough estimate of the cost for applying a smooth plaster finish (is Q4 level required for living areas?) or for putting up textured wallpaper and painting?

Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact square meter area of the walls, but the living area is 200m² (2153 sq ft) with a ceiling height of 2.40m (7 ft 10 in), and there are a normal number and size of windows, I would say.

If you need any more information, I’m happy to provide it.

You ask really funny questions.
Do you at least have a floor plan to show? 200 sqm (2,150 sq ft) doesn’t say anything about the wall surface area. And depending on the type of plaster, it can be quickly filled or require a lot of effort.

27,457.98 – the price may still vary slightly if instead of cactus green, a puke brown color is chosen.

Please upload floor plans with surface areas, photos of the wall coverings, etc.

I prefer not to post the floor plan here until everything is finalized. Attached is a photo.

There are 6 rooms plus a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, without significant niches or corners.
If that’s not enough to estimate whether the cost without self-work will be around 8,000€ or closer to 20,000€, then I’m sorry.

If that’s not enough to estimate whether the cost will be around €8,000 (about $8,600) without personal work or closer to €20,000 (about $21,600), I’m sorry.

Here is the picture of the roughcast or textured plaster

You don’t need to feel sorry about that.
However, for your future construction project, you should work on your communication skills and your understanding of the importance of information in order to coordinate a renovation with craftsmen. This is not meant to be sarcastic or ironic. You cannot expect any help if you remain so vague. You will need to obtain quotes or procure materials, and you shouldn’t be stingy with information in those situations.
