Hello everyone,
we built our house 4 years ago (2020) and moved in.
One of the room doors creaks briefly when opened. All other doors are quiet, as expected.
It can’t be the door frame because it has already been aligned and oiled. We suspect the issue lies in the connection between the drywall (plasterboard) wall, the door frame, and the PVC flooring.
But pinpointing the problem? That’s the tricky part! We are getting frustrated because even after a second attempt, the professionals couldn’t fully fix the issue. Pictures will follow.
Maybe this community has some solutions?

Thank you.
Best regards, Tarik

But this is a "where’s the fault?" situation?! We are really frustrated because even the experts couldn’t fully resolve the root cause after a second attempt.

Who were these “experts” – installers from the construction company...

Our builder glued the vapor barrier on the ceiling to the wall. The joints don’t look very neat to us,

… who apparently already back then didn’t inspire much confidence?
It seems to me that there are various issues with shape, fit, and alignment that aren’t quite right; besides the last attempt, oiling won’t help much. Door frames standing on the floor (even with a gap) probably aren’t exactly top quality either. I hope the warranty period hasn’t expired or been interrupted. Under warranty, the contractor has the right to repair defects, but that does not mean you should let the contractor judge whether a fault exists instead of involving an independent expert. Discuss this with a specialist lawyer and consider hiring a professional surveyor.

Just leave the door open. A simple and straightforward solution.

It is likely that the metal studs of the drywall are stressed.
In our case, half of the attic is affected: when we moved in 2014 and the storms got stronger, it felt like the entire upper floor creaked. We had the choice: file a complaint and have everything opened up or live with the creaking during storms. We chose the latter.

We are at our wits’ end,

We are not. Why get so upset about brief creaking? It shouldn’t be necessary. I would try to relax a bit.

Built in 2020? Then contact the company; they need to provide a solution here.

But we didn’t. Why despair over a brief creak? It doesn’t have to be that way. I would try to relax about it.

Thank you for the responses.
A brief creak in a new build is a no-go. Over time you do get used to the creaking and would be more surprised if it eventually stopped 😉
