Hello everyone. Soon we plan to replace the floor tiles throughout the living area. To dispose of the old tiles, we need to wheel a wheelbarrow through the patio sliding door. To avoid any damage, we require a ramp that completely protects the sliding track (where the door rolls). I am imagining something like a bridge. Does anyone have experience or tips?
Thank you very much. Have a nice afternoon.

Links are not allowed here. So, try searching for door threshold ramp. Or simply threshold ramp. These parts can be quite expensive.

That’s why it’s a good idea to look closely at the pictures (you can also include the word wood), go to the hardware store, and build one yourself for around 20€ (about 22 USD). Not pretty, but practical.

Yes, I would build something like that myself as well, but I assumed the original poster wouldn’t have asked here if they felt confident doing it themselves.

Well, if someone wants to replace their own tiles – that’s how I read it – they should be able to handle something like this. But sometimes you get stuck on these topics and later think, "I could have figured that out myself."

Yes, I know that feeling too. My guess is that people feel more confident about snapping pieces into place than about installing them. At least, I wouldn’t install flooring myself in the living room. In the utility room, though, I might be more willing to do it.
