Dear forum community,

We are currently touching up some spots on the walls with paint after a few months of moving in, where furniture and other items have caused some wear.

Now I noticed that the frame of the side window next to the front door has some mortar/screed splashes at the bottom. Actually, I have seen it several times before and tried to remove the spots with a cloth and even my fingernail, but unfortunately without success.
It always looks a bit untidy... the surface is painted wood in anthracite gray...

Do you have any advice for me?

Best regards, Yvonne

Do you have any tips for me?

Is it really painted wood or more likely a colored composite front door? Either way, you should ask the window supplier (assuming the windows and front door come from the same source) for a suitable cleaning agent. I doubt you will be able to remove the spots with standard cleaners. Also as a tip—already mention this during your phone call with the supplier... if needed, this might be handled under warranty if all cleaning attempts fail. The handover has already taken place.

Hello,
it is really a wooden door and wooden window elements next to the wooden door.
Yes, I will give them a call and ask quite naively, thank you very much!

Kind regards
