We are not quite sure what settings we need to adjust on the heat pump when we also have a fire burning in the fireplace.
We have the airflow set to 2, stove mode activated, and the heating is on.
Is this correct?

Which settings on the heat pump? Normally, you don’t adjust anything on the heat pump when the fireplace is in use.

Please ask your question with all the relevant information so readers can understand it.
For example: "What settings should I adjust in the car when the kids are playing on a tablet? The engine is running and the water flow is set to C." ==> If you can answer this, I can also answer your question without any further information 😉

I will try to rephrase the question.
We were told that we need to set the system to STOVE MODE when the fire is burning. But we are not sure if the heating should be ON or OFF.
But based on what you wrote, we don’t actually need to adjust any settings while the fire is burning?

paul_gurke6 Jan 2024 11:15I must apologize, my knowledge of the internet and how to use it is very limited, as I am an older gentleman.
I do not want to waste anyone’s time here. My neighbor told me to come here and ask questions directly.
Unfortunately, I do not have an instruction manual for the system; all I know is what the service technician told me last year.

There is no need to be ironic.Maybe, depending on the questions. But you understand what the problem with your question is.Regardless of a heat pump, nothing needs to be done. It would be the same with gas or oil. Normal heating systems also do not have explicit stove mode.
Do you perhaps have an air-to-air heat pump? Or is a ventilation system integrated? Or does the stove have a water jacket?
