ᐅ The plastic waste bin keeps tipping over.

I need a quick idea on how to secure my yellow bin against strong gusts of wind. The plastic bin is just too light, and the gusts regularly tip it over, spreading the trash across the property. Yes, I know, a bin storage shed would help, but I’m not going to get one and set it up quickly right now.

I’ve already tried leaning stones against it, but the leverage is just too small. Tying it down? Hammering iron nails into the ground on all four sides?

I’m going away over the holidays, and my wife will be alone here. I don’t want to burden her with having to constantly go outside and put the trash back in.

I would appreciate a few quick, smart ideas.

The world perishes in a noble way if you store the waste like that.
This has less to do with being noble and more to do with necessity.
After walking through the neighborhood twice to collect my trash again, you start to think about things.

I'm sure it could have been done more easily and cost-effectively. Still, it's a nice piece. That gives me a wild idea for spring... after all, there are still plenty of leftover bricks lying around here :x

I totally agree with you. :p
But actually, I still had most of the materials left. Except for the wood, metal sheets, and a few verge stones, everything else was still lying around here.

Two or three buckets of water would be enough

While searching online, I found a useful invention.. Just google „lid lock for trash bins, simply ingenious, MDR“ There is a suitable video. The bins can still tip over, but the lid stays closed. Best regards
