Hello everyone,

After several inquiries and offers, I now have what I consider the most cost-effective offer (see details below). I am still unsure about the "necessity" of the battery storage. I believe there is no clear "yes" or "no" answer here.

Based on your experience and what is known so far, is the payback of the battery storage guaranteed within the warranty period? I don’t think the battery will make you rich or poor, but you can make the most sensible decision now.

How do you evaluate the offer and the components in general? Does anyone perhaps have a comparable system and experience to share?

Photovoltaic system 11.9 kWp with 9.6 kWh battery storage

In general, you can already find a lot of information.
You will get more specific details if you share some information about yourselves and your house.
For example, what are the energy consumptions like—mostly during the day or mainly at night?

Hello RotorMotor,
You can find information on floor plans, elevations, etc. in post 109:

Regarding consumption, I think it’s mostly the “standard” continuous electricity users, like the chest freezer, two refrigerators, etc. In addition, at least one of us spends a lot of time working from home, so usage during “normal” working hours in the daytime is relevant. In the evenings, I would mention the sauna and occasionally watching TV; otherwise, we will spend about 98% of the night sleeping (work usually starts around 6:30–7:00 AM, and during the day, we do laundry and cook at normal meal times ;-)

Then a storage tank is probably not worth it, at least not such a large one.

Where do you save if you leave it out, and what do you save if you halve the size?

Unfortunately, the offer is general and I would have to request a specific quote.
Especially as the days get shorter, electricity will surely be used until 10 p.m., which you consider insufficient?

Good luck

For a storage system to be worthwhile, it should be fully charged and discharged every day. If this only happens during the transition period, it is most likely not worth it.
How much electricity do you use in the evening? You can easily read this from the meter during that time.
