For the workshop in the basement (with underfloor heating), I am looking for tiles. What should I pay attention to? Which tiles have you had good experiences with? What tile size and pattern did you choose? So many questions...

The pattern doesn’t really matter for the workshop, does it? That’s a design choice. For a workshop, choose what produces the least waste and is the easiest to install.

They need to be durable in case you drop the 32mm (1 1/4 inch) wrench and non-slip in case the beer mug... uh, the oil can tips over.

And here’s the tip again: if perfection isn’t the priority, do it yourself. If someone sets up a “workshop” in their house, laying tiles shouldn’t be a problem for them...

As long as you don’t plan to break game there, avoid using tiles. All it takes is for a tool to slip from your hand once, and you'll end up with a chip.

I’m a bit annoyed that there isn’t a standard or value for “hardness” like the Brinell hardness for wood that also applies to tiles...
