Hello everyone, I have the following designs for our small bathroom and our even smaller guest WC.
Would you arrange the tiled areas in this way purely based on their layout?
For the bathroom, personally, I think there are too many tiles on the walls. Would it be possible to tile only the shower area and the wall behind the toilet, and simply plaster the rest, including the area behind the washbasin?

I don’t like the toilet at all: it has a much too cold atmosphere.

Hello, we are facing the same decision. In areas without tiles, we will use latex paint. Will you be tiling the entire area between the sanitary fixtures continuously?

What would you do differently in the bathroom?

What would you do differently in the WC? The layout of the WC is not ideal for maximizing space, but you probably already know that and can live with the “long and narrow” shape, especially since you’ve even planned for two windows. I wouldn’t go for a clean, standard look but would dare to introduce color or design elements. Personally, I would emphasize the slim shape and apply a bold wall design throughout to distract from the length and monotony. Gold, green, mirrors, or black… just be daring. If not in the WC, then where? There are some fantastic mosaic tiles available right now… and remember: a tiled splashback (or feature wallpaper) creates cohesion. Your WC is currently split between left and right sides, so there’s no unified look and therefore no cozy atmosphere.
