ᐅ Facade paint color for a house with windows in RAL 7016 (Anthracite Gray)?

The contractor gave us a color chart from Maxit. Unfortunately, based on these small color samples, we cannot really imagine what would suit our house with RAL 7016 windows. We quite like Cappuccino. Does anyone have any advice?

Eye color?

Of course, the facade color needs to match the windows.

It does need to match the windows. But the approach is fundamentally wrong.

First, you design the house—its appearance and style. You also consider your ideas for the outdoor areas. Then the color comes into play—starting with the facade color and choosing the window color to match. You don’t build a house first with some so-called great (generic, like everyone else has) color and only think about the facade color once the house is finished.

First, you plan the house—its appearance and style. Then you consider your landscaping. Only after that do you choose the colors—starting with the exterior wall color and matching the window frame color accordingly. Why not? I assume the original poster has already thought about the house and prefers dark window frames over white, brown, or colorful ones. Now they are faced with the choice of fifty shades of white, greige, or beige. It seems perfectly reasonable to ask for advice here.

“People do…” Great post! So there is THE way to build a house, defined by Karsten from NRW. As if it’s a total no-go and completely unreasonable to decide on the exact color at the very end. To really shock you: the house is standing, and I still haven’t made any final decisions about the landscaping because it’s completely unimportant to me. So, how do you like that?

I might not have put it as strongly as @KarstenausNRW, but I tend to believe that you either choose the windows to fit the house or, better yet, develop a coherent overall concept and define the color scheme in parallel or, more holistically.

As it is, it sounds like the house was designed around the windows. I tend to see the landscaping as a separate project.

Of course, you can do it the way you suggested, but you shouldn’t be surprised if it causes some frowns or at least raised eyebrows...

Especially since forums are known for having members who like to distort facts unnecessarily to make others look foolish. Some seem to need this for their ego. You build a house, order windows in a color that matches many facade colors, and ask which option would suit best. Absolutely terrible and – for people from the Ruhr area – unbelievable.

Well, not stupid, more like unusual. It’s like choosing the car color based on the wheels. You can do that, but since 90% of people do it differently, it’s also okay to accept that without taking offense.
