Hello everyone,
We have oiled our new parquet floor with Woca Maintenance Oil.
However, after oiling, it appeared blotchy.
Accordingly, we cleaned it with Biofa Napona deep cleaner, now for the second time.
On the surface, there is no oil visible or noticeable (e.g., sticky). Nevertheless, the parquet remains blotchy.
A photo is attached.
So my question to you is whether anyone has had similar experiences and what can be done about it?
I have already been advised to oil it again, but I am skeptical.
Regards

I can only speak from experience with hardwax oil, where different appearances gradually even out over time through everyday use (and probably also exposure to light). That’s exactly what the pads do as well – only they significantly shorten the time factor.

What did you use to apply the oil? Our manufacturer lent us a special tool called a Wiesel, and I wondered what could be different about it. But when a friend told me her wood floor looked as blotchy as yours without using a Wiesel, I was relieved and even bought one for future use. My original reply was deleted because it contained a link. Let me try again without a link. I applied the oil using a "Greenwood Soft-Sheep Pad Holder Pro with 10 wool pads," if that means anything to you.

Definitely take at least one more photo with a wider view and not facing the window.
I’m sure that sooner or later @KlaRa will be able to help here. So, I’ve tried it now. The stains are only visible when looking at an angle against the light.
Can @KlaRa still possibly help? 🙂

MustermannNRW12 Mar 2023 09:06Another thought: spraying orange peel oil, letting it sit briefly, and then scrubbing it off with a Woca hand scrubber...
What do you think about this?
By the way, it’s oak parquet. Allegedly pre-oiled by the manufacturer using Woca. The floor is so dry that several people have already slipped on it...

WilderSueden12 Mar 2023 09:44How bad is it? Do you have a picture where it can be clearly seen? Unfortunately, the one you uploaded isn’t very helpful. Since the oil wears off over time, I would suggest just waiting before you risk damaging the oil layer with 15 more treatments.
