Hello,

we need help with bathroom planning. We have already had three appointments but are still not satisfied with the layout. Do you have any ideas?

It is important to us to have enough space near the sink for additional cabinets.

We like the first version quite well, but the toilet is located right next to the door. We don’t find that very suitable.

Well, the bathroom says it all. You open the door and immediately run into a wall. 😡

Oh, could the architect have planned that? (I thought the bathroom layout was "provided by the client").

The attachment in post #24 was meant. That one is from the architect.

Alright, but if you agree to it like that, you shouldn’t complain afterwards.
I don’t sign a contract for a yellow Opel and then complain later that they delivered a yellow Opel and not a white E-Class.

The architect might design nonsense, but I don’t have to accept it as is.

It’s hardly possible to submit a building permit / planning permission application showing a bathroom as an empty room with only the drainpipes, even if the homeowners plan to install the layout themselves. That’s how you end up with something like a “something with a shower door.” By the way, I actually drive the red Opel more often than the black E-Class 🙂

This layout was indeed created by the architect. We also told her that we didn’t like it. However, we first had to have something drawn in to keep things moving. She then said she was planning the pipes generously, so that we would still have flexibility with the plumbing supplier in terms of design.
