Hello everyone,
For some time now, I have noticed tiny flies in the bathroom, about the size of fruit flies. At first, I thought they might have come in from outside through the window during air ventilation and removed the flies.
We were away for a few days and kept the windows closed, but there were still some flies in the bathroom. I remove them, and the next day there are more.
So far, there have been no flies in the other rooms, but yesterday I spotted one in the living area, although it could have escaped from the bathroom.
What do you think, is it possible that they are coming in through the ventilation system?
Thanks

The supply air filter in the controlled residential ventilation system can sometimes look quite messy ;-) but there is nothing animal-related to be found in the room vents or their filters.
We also often have issues with these small flies. However, this is usually due to potting soil or fruit! There are stickers for windows or small "signs" that can be placed in flowerpots. They contain pheromones and a sticky layer, available for a few euros, and they work.

But that is more likely due to potting soil or fruit!I would tend to rule that out.
We don’t have these flies on any plants (there is only one on the ground floor) or on any fruit. They are in the bathroom. And they keep appearing there.
Therefore, I assume they may have actually come in from outside but settled somewhere in the pipe...

If the flies go into it, they are fruit flies. If not, they are something else. In the case of fruit flies, you can rule out that they are coming in through the system.
