Why Is the Design the Way It Is? For example:
The house is located directly on the street. Distance to the neighbors on both sides is 3 meters (10 feet), so no possibility to adjust the width.
The entrance is on the side. Since the house faces the street, the living room, dining area, and kitchen are planned on the north side, facing the garden. All other rooms face the street side. Knee wall is 1.80 m (6 feet), roof pitch 30 degrees. Bedrooms and bathroom also face the garden side.
The pantry is currently hidden but we are considering integrating it into the technical room. Underfloor heating with heat pump. Photovoltaic system is also installed (west side).

Does the garage really have to be right at the front by the street? The neighboring plots all have two houses... isn’t it possible to argue to leave the “front” building area empty and only build at the back? Exactly, the plot is just under 17 m (56 feet) wide at the front.
There is a new zoning plan. We already asked if it’s possible to build the house in the middle of the plot. The answer was: you can apply, but it doesn’t look promising. Since this would affect the entire floor plan, we want to be safe and build at the front by the street. The advantage is that we will have a large garden.

Moving it further back would mean no window on the right side in the dining area. That’s why the garage is in front and can be opened electrically.
