No idea about any legal requirement or DIN standard. Reason and logic alone dictate a right-hand stop.

Maybe there are other reasons? How deep is the block to which the frame is attached? If you also include the handle, it will be tight to reach 90 degrees. But talk to the landlord; maybe he hasn’t considered it.

The direction in which a door swings in living areas is not regulated anywhere, but it is usually planned so that the door opens towards the room rather than against the wall. In your case, it is unfortunate, but you do not have any entitlement to request a redesign.

Who says you have to accept it like that? The landlord or the carpenter / subcontractor?
If it’s the subcontractor, then politely talk to the landlord to see if they could still make a change. That would really be problematic for you, etc.
As a landlord (I am also a landlord), I would be interested in keeping the tenant satisfied within the possibilities and while maintaining the cost framework.

Just a really basic question. Where are the light switches located?

That’s not the problem. In my opinion, the door was incorrectly designed and therefore ordered incorrectly. Any repairs must be done at my expense, or the installation will be done as a "left-hand" door as shown in the drawing. Just around the corner to the right is the stove, which will be blocked when the door is open.
