ᐅ Installation of the telecommunications service connection

I’m experiencing a bit of a discrepancy here. My colleague and friend lives in a suburb of Königswusterhausen, and they don’t even have a connection to the sewer system. I live in Berlin, not even in the outermost district (there’s still one further out towards western Poland, uh, Brandenburg).

But he gets to work faster and has just received fiber optic internet.

I would have liked to have fiber optic internet in "western Poland" as well. The subcontractor even wanted a 50mm (2 inches) empty conduit, which he got, for his doorbell wiring (copper, capable of 100 Mbit). The best part was the comment: "there are already tiles in the utility room" — so they installed the handover point and the telephone connection box about 1 meter (3 feet) above the multi-service distribution panel, drilled only in the grout lines, which looks really ugly. They are clueless. The main thing is that they will activate the system next week so I can at least use fiber optic internet between the ground floor and the upper floor.

We were promised fiber optic broadband last year as well. It was supposed to be connected this August. So far, nothing is happening in the village.
At least they promised that they will use directional drilling; I won’t allow open trenching.
They aren’t pushing us either; we have a 250 Mbit connection, which is enough for everything.
