Hello everyone,
Since I do a lot of manual work myself, I know how much good tools can help during the execution. I have had little experience with painting and plastering so far, but I will be doing these tasks myself. I have already bought a decent plastering tool set and wanted to know if there is also a good painting tool set? All those Amazon sets are okay for one room but not suitable for an entire house. Do you have a good manufacturer to recommend?
Thank you very much!

Ah, okay, thanks. Would that be the Knauf Betokontakt? Tolentino schrieb:
According to the product description, yes.
If in doubt, consult your building materials supplier again. Okay, I’ll ask again. However, all the experience reports I found are based on deep primer, not bonding primer 😀 I’m confused :/ I haven’t found a single case where bonding primer was used for the concrete slabs.
Primer deep penetrates and stabilizes highly absorbent or sandy substrates. This ensures an even (and slightly reduced, so you don’t need multiple coats) absorption for the next layer. You need this, for example, on an already plastered wall. Otherwise, the plaster would absorb all the paint.
Bonding primer creates adhesion, ensuring that the plaster sticks well, especially on low-absorbency substrates. Concrete is one such substrate.
In theory, you can apply the deep primer on top of the filler compound at the end to achieve a more even finish. However, this is probably unnecessary because the filler is applied very thinly.

Bauenaberwie14 Nov 2022 07:30Good morning, I have successfully completed the first test wall/ceiling and am very satisfied with the result. The only issue is that the opacity of the Haering decorative quartz is not very strong. Therefore, I plan to apply a first coat after plastering. Do you know of a good and relatively inexpensive paint that would be suitable for this? The decorative quartz is free of harmful substances, and the paint should be as well. Would Alpina be suitable for this?

Bauenaberwie14 Nov 2022 12:24I basically applied it directly from the bucket to the wall. I think the color is okay. I guess I just rolled it on 😀
