Hello everyone,

Since I do a lot of manual work myself, I know how much good tools can help during the execution. I have had little experience with painting and plastering so far, but I will be doing these tasks myself. I have already bought a decent plastering tool set and wanted to know if there is also a good painting tool set? All those Amazon sets are okay for one room but not suitable for an entire house. Do you have a good manufacturer to recommend?

Thank you very much!

One more thing I just thought of: did you paint the plaster directly? Because we won’t be using any painting fleece or anything like that 😀

Actually, yes, nowhere any painter’s fleece. It was different in my case because some of the plaster is almost 60 years old and therefore no longer develops settlement cracks. Where necessary, I patched it up. Several walls are new drywall (like in the new guest bathroom) – and obviously painted right away without any painter’s fleece.

Hello, I’ve done some more research and wanted to ask if everything is correct. The goal is to prepare the ceiling and walls for decorative quartz. The joints of the precast ceiling panels will be sealed by the main contractor. This is the procedure I have gathered:

1. Remove all unevenness from the ceiling once
2. Prime the ceiling (primer)
3. Apply Knauf Multifinish
4. Level the ceiling
5. Sand
6. Repeat steps 3–5
7. Paint

For the walls, it’s basically the same. Have I missed anything?
Thank you very much

For concrete ceilings, you need a bonding primer, not a deep primer....

I would actually prefer to use painter’s fleece, as it involves fewer steps. At least for the walls...
