Hello,
our price only includes doors that are 200cm (79 inches) high (ceiling height 254cm (100 inches)). We decided to plan all doors on the ground floor with a height of 210cm (83 inches) for an additional cost, while keeping the doors upstairs at 200cm (79 inches).
Do you see any disadvantages with this?
Good luck

No. I think taller doors look stylish.

That’s exactly what I did. Honestly, I don’t notice any difference in everyday use (not even visually). Having a tall door is more practical when moving in or carrying a ladder in and out.

To be honest, for the next house, which will probably have an even bigger budget—unless I win the lottery—I would likely go with 200cm (79 inches) doors everywhere. And, if I’m feeling bolder, for closet recesses, I’d opt for 76cm (30 inches) wide doors. You simply don’t notice the difference in daily life.

If I did win the lottery, I would probably choose floor-to-ceiling doors. Or even better, those Star Trek-style automatic sliding doors (though they would need extra soundproofing).

But you do realize that with the original doors, people were standing on each side pulling the doors open with ropes, right?
Plus that ssssstttt sound... meaning you’d have to hire someone just to open the doors 😉
How big would your lottery win have to be then...?

Yes, I know. I have the Blu-ray collection, and it’s included as bonus material. In the outtakes, someone often gets stuck or closes the door too early. 😀

Enough to cover the cost—no matter which version you choose 😉.

Depending on the size of your family and friends/acquaintances, I sometimes find 2m (6 ft 7 in) doors a bit too low in certain places. And I am "only" 1.90m (6 ft 3 in).
Looking at the guys in schools these days... 2.10m (6 ft 11 in) is certainly not a bad idea...
