Hello everyone,
About 7 years ago, we had a garage built. Now the rear wall (exposed to the weather) is starting to develop some mold (see picture). It’s hard to see clearly since it just began, but can we ask the builder to fix this, or if not, what is the best way to prevent it from spreading?
Thank you,
Karl.

Ventilate, ventilate, ventilate. However, I really know many people who are surprised that mold appears after years of regularly bringing a snow- or rain-covered car inside, which causes moisture buildup. A carport provides a solution!

Alternatively, build the garage with ventilation (and I don’t mean an electric one).
In our area, garages have only been built without ventilation systems, just with a window. Mold is practically guaranteed because nobody opens the window wide.
