Hello everyone,

I find the shower fittings and showerheads from Hansgrohe appealing. In many promotional videos and on the control panels, I noticed that you can adjust the temperature and the water flow (hand shower or rain shower). However, you can also adjust the pressure or strength of the water.

Is this still necessary, or is it a new trend?

I can imagine that you might want to rinse something off with a stronger spray in the shower or just stand under the showerhead with a gentler flow.

The washbasin faucets are all Hansgrohe Metropol again. They are top quality.
Wall-mounted or installed on the washbasin? (They are available in both versions)

Wall-mounted. Underneath, there are countertop basins on the vanity unit.

Wall-mounted. Below are countertop washbasins on the kitchen cabinet
My wife really wants wall-mounted faucets, preferably with a sensor. However, I still have some doubts because the installation body for the wall outlet is always dependent on the manufacturer. In other words, once a Hansgrohe is mounted on the wall, I don’t think another brand can be installed later. I have some reservations about that. I also need to check the options regarding countertop basins or sinks without faucet holes.

We have finally decided on wall-mounted faucets. Duravit (DuraSquare) also offers nice basins without tap holes. Two questions:

1. Approximately how high do you install the wall-mounted faucet? Is there a standard height?
2. The Hansgrohe rough-in valve for the wall outlet (item number 13622180) has an Rp 1/2 connection on one side. Is this a standard 1/2" female thread, so that if needed, you could later install a different outlet with a 1/2" thread? (For example, a very simple example, the HANSAELECTRA (item 00880019) with a G 1/2" male thread.)

  • At what height did you install the wall-mounted faucet? Is there a standard measurement for this?

That depends on how tall your base cabinet is and what type of washbasins you have. I think there were recommended distances given in the installation manual back then – that’s what I followed.

  • The Hansgrohe body for the wall outlet (item number 13622180) has an Rp 1/2 connection on one side. Is that a standard 1/2-inch female thread, so that later you could, if needed, also install a different outlet with a 1/2-inch thread? (For example, a very simple example would be the HANSAELECTRA (item 00880019) with a G 1/2 male thread.)

I believe YES, but please don’t hold me strictly to that statement since it was about 1.5 years ago, and I was deep in house construction mode and just got things done. I think you can screw on anything with that thread on the exposed side.

Great, thanks. The issue is settled then. Hasngrohe lower cabinets were ordered and have already arrived.
