Hello everyone,
perhaps some of you already have practical experience with electric cars and charging stations. We are about to start the wiring for our new double garage. Attached is a sketch:

Next to the distribution board, there will also be a 16A or 32A outlet. Do you think the number of outlets might be too many? And the main question:
1. Where would you generally place wallboxes? Closer to the garage entrance or inside the garage?
2. For a double garage, would you rather go for two wallboxes?

Hello,
the issue is settled. Most cars have the charging port on the rear right side or are front-charging. Since you can park the car either forward or backward, it is "almost" irrelevant where you position the wallbox. Placing it at the middle or two-thirds height of the side wall should fit all car types.

Why not have LAN directly to each wallbox? Thanks for the suggestion. The sketch is mine. I was thinking of "LAN + power" for one wallbox. You're right, it would be good to add the LAN icon there as well.My wife also brings up the point: What if the car is parked outside in front of the double garage? In that case, it might be better not to have one wallbox inside and one outside.
I would argue that it might still be possible to pull the cable out from inside and leave the garage door slightly open by a few millimeters (if that works with the Hörmann Supramatik E4).
