Now we are looking for an IPTV receiver that is not tied to a specific provider’s service I used the Fire Stick with Kodi for a long time. Great solution. Now it also supports 4K and provides access to numerous channels from home and abroad through various apps. However, apps like Joyn, Waipu, and Zattoo all require a subscription.
Question: Why IPTV? What kind of content do you watch? What quality do you need? Wired LAN or Wi-Fi? Any specific media player features?
Maybe all of this can be done directly through the TV (since I got my Android Sony, I don’t need anything else – I hardly watch traditional TV anymore).
It is best to keep the satellite system on the roof and use the internet service as an optional addition.
For me, this whole IPTV thing is an option only if nothing else is possible. I have not found any clear advantages for the consumer.
Except that it only works if the internet connection is reliable and the network wiring is good.
