Good morning,
I just received a steep price increase from my energy provider enercity, raising the cost to 15 cents per kWh starting in August. That’s really tough, and I think prices will rise even further.
It’s a strange feeling to be thrown back so quickly into an energy supply situation where you have to figure out how to keep the house warm. It seems to me that the government has given up on the goal of enabling everyone to adequately cover at least their basic needs.
Goodbye central supply structures; now the winner is whoever has solar panels and a heat pump in their new build, while the others are left out.
Welcome back, coal heating 😕
Frustrated regards,

For everyone interested in economics.

But that’s exactly when you should vote for the Greens, to encourage more people to follow your ecological lifestyle and address humanity’s biggest and most important problem!
However, you are mistaken here: wages have increased, as well as the number of employees in the healthcare system.
This also led to the overall expenditure increasing.
Spending has risen significantly both in absolute terms and as a percentage of GDP, and not only because of COVID-19.
So please don’t base your conclusions on individual experiences regarding the actual development.I actually wanted to know why they are voted for, not why I don’t vote for them.I just don’t get the impression that they have any concrete plan on how to implement what they want.
It’s like planning to build a house with a budget of 600,000 euros (€) and then choosing options that cost 1 million euros (€)—it simply doesn’t work. Using the metaphor, no matter how much I might want photovoltaic panels, if the money isn’t there, it just can’t happen.

The tipping points are getting closer and closer; we can no longer afford to wait.

The tipping points are getting closer, and we can no longer afford to wait. The tipping points have long been passed.
Therefore, geoengineering will become unavoidable.
I have been voting green for many years as well. But some insights still need to develop among my ideological friends. For example, the realization that gas can be stored in huge quantities quite simply and can also be produced green through Power-to-Gas...
Electricity, on the other hand, can currently only be stored in extremely environmentally harmful ways, in tons of chemicals (battery/storage) or using land-intensive pumped-storage plants...
The green engineer installs an H2-ready gas boiler... not a heat pump... because he has understood it...

Lately, many are mentioning their heat pump combined with a photovoltaic system as a way to stay self-sufficient during a blackout... but they don’t realize that these typically have grid-tied inverters, which won’t operate without grid power...
