In our bathroom, we have stone slabs that I really like because granite is such a primitive material. I did not expect that dark spots would appear and remain so easily.
I assume the stain is caused by oil or grease (from cosmetic products).
Does anyone know a product to remove this kind of stain?
(Like leaving a cloth with acetone on it for a few hours... or something similar?)
If there is no remedy for this (which I assume), that’s fine too.
After photographing it, I noticed the stain looks like a dolphin jumping out of the water.
That’s kind of nice 😉

Great, thanks, whoever can get it for me ...

Try Lithofin... they have one for oil stains. Lithofin is applied BEFOREHAND as a sealant, unfortunately not afterwards… we have dark natural stone throughout the house and just live with the issue. Natural stone is porous and absorbent, so liquids penetrate it. Some stains spread over time, sometimes hot water helps a bit, but if the stain is as dark as yours, I’m afraid there’s little hope.

No, I’m talking about Lithofin Oil Ex… that is specifically designed for this purpose.
