Hello! Last week, we visited a retailer and looked at the Parador Modular One flooring. It sounds interesting: plasticizer-free; lifetime warranty; integrated cork underlay for sound insulation.
Who has experience with it? During installation? In daily use; cleaning; maintenance; durability?

Fleckenzwerg18 Aug 2022 22:01We are also facing the decision of whether to go with the Modular One Oak Pure Natural LHD. It is planned to be installed in the upstairs children’s room and bedroom, so impact sound insulation is a particular concern for us (two children, ages 3 and 5). Compared to the Basic 30 vinyl, which has a slightly thicker build-up, the Modular One is said to be somewhat louder. With the sample planks, we notice a slightly brighter sound with the Modular One than with the Basic 30, but we wonder if this really makes a difference in everyday life. What have your experiences been?

What are your experiences? After using it for a year, I have to say I wouldn’t buy the Modular One again. We already have various damages in the decorative layer, partly caused by our little rascal, but also from minor issues that our old vinyl would have just shrugged off.B
Boden_Feedback8 May 2025 12:18Hello everyone,
I specifically signed up here to issue a warning:
The flooring in our home (not a commercial space, clean, no shoes) was damaged in countless spots within 2 weeks.
You can’t even place chairs on the soft surface without causing damage. We are very disappointed with this product and hope to at least warn a few “interested” people through this message.

We initially installed Parador Modular One flooring quickly on the upper floor. The installation was straightforward. In this area, we have a foldable attic ladder with padded feet. After just a few months, damage appeared on the floor there. The surface layer started to separate from the core board.

This was frustrating, so we filed a complaint and received a replacement pack. Well, the work remains: removal of baseboards, removal of trim, cutting panels around the door frames to access the damaged panels, then replacement and reinstallation. Of course, there is some material loss.
This went fairly well since it’s a small hallway without furniture.
After one year, the same issue appeared in different spots in the upstairs hallway—the surface layer is separating from the core material. The affected area in the upper floor hallway only experiences normal foot traffic; there are no higher stresses from moving furniture or unusual impacts from the attic ladder, which rests on the floor in a completely different location. To us, this suggests a possible manufacturing defect.

We deliberately chose a high-end quality product, expecting durability and resilience. The product “Modular One” is even advertised with a lifetime warranty, which makes the situation even more disappointing that the same defect has now appeared a second time within the first year but in a different location.
The old laminate flooring (Elesgo Wellnessfloor) was in place for 20 years without these kinds of problems.
In the meantime, we have installed this flooring in other rooms (living room, dining room, and bedroom), with a material value of several thousand euros. Given this background, we have serious concerns that the defect could also appear in those areas—especially since repairs there would involve even more effort.
I have now contacted Parador again to report the issue.
I am extremely disappointed with the product. Even if we receive a replacement, the responsibility for the replacement will probably fall on me.
