We are currently looking for a kitchen for our new build, which is scheduled to start in 2021. Nothing extravagant. Our first two visits to kitchen showrooms resulted in prices of at least 15,000 euros (around $16,000 USD), plus the side-by-side refrigerator that we plan to buy ourselves.
We are a bit surprised that for just a few pieces of furniture and three appliances (dishwasher, cooktop with fan, oven) we have to pay at least 15,000 euros. The consultants actually expected around 20,000 euros. The countertop is not even ceramic but rather granite.
Are there other options to purchase an affordable kitchen?
Please don’t get me wrong. We could afford such a kitchen. We just don’t see why we should spend 20,000 euros on a few furniture pieces and appliances.

... (despite the weak euro) …
Nicely lowered...Just for your information: the euro is currently at 1 euro = 4.75 PLN. This is, apart from the start of the war, the highest value in years...
You’re right. That’s why it’s almost a 40% savings (considering only the parts I actually purchased in Poland).
For some reason, on Friday I was convinced that the PLN exchange rate was once around 7:1. I must have confused it with RMB, which I sometimes deal with professionally. So I was unfairly disappointed and held back unnecessarily when buying groceries.
Well, the next trip is definitely coming. I still need drawer sides and display cabinet doors (which were not available).
Off-topic @Neubau2022 I thought "ogórki kiszone" were pickled cucumbers (also called sour cucumbers in Germany, for whatever reason, since they’re preserved in brine here as well). But now our little one says they’re not salty at all, just rather sour. I tried them and think they are indeed pickled cucumbers, but much milder than, for example, the ones from the Spreewald region. Do you know if Polish pickled cucumbers generally aren’t as strong in flavor? Or is there a specific term for that? Or do you have to buy them at the farmers’ market rather than at Carrefour?

We visited a kitchen showroom today to have a kitchen designed. It’s about 7.5m (25 feet) of kitchen space plus an island and appliances (Siemens oven, induction cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, and extractor hood). The kitchen is a Nobilia model with a lacquer finish. The tall cabinets reach the ceiling. The price offered was around 17,000 EUR, which I find reasonable, but it’s hard to judge since we haven’t checked anywhere else yet. From your perspective, is this price fair, or should we shop around more?
Good luck

@nagner99 .. your details are roughly like a Volkswagen car: red paint, 4 wheels, 2 doors, one exhaust pipe, and a steering wheel.
Material of the countertop?
Cabinet layout (doors, drawers, etc.)?
Appliances .. for example, you could determine the average online price as a reference.
In general, 17,000 euros could be reasonable 😉
