Hello everyone,
this thread is about current offers/prices for photovoltaic systems on single-family houses.
It would be helpful to have transparent prices including system size and price per kWp.

To make comparisons easier, a general indication of the region and any specific conditions (e.g., multi-family house at 10m (33 feet) height, difficult access, etc.) would be useful.
Prices are rising sharply at the moment.
If this thread sparks interest, I would be glad.

You do not need to register a business for this.
Called the tax office, "I am installing photovoltaic systems, which tax number should I use?"
Answer: "Just use your regular tax number."

That's mostly true, but not always. Due to annoying private and business changes, I had to apply for a new, additional tax number. This involved completing the first form for the “business,” which was estimated to be around 27 pages long. Nevertheless, after overcoming this hurdle (I hate paperwork and have had all my tax matters handled by professionals for 25 years) and obtaining the necessary Elster certificate, I was then able to submit the initial VAT returns online. Of course, I misfilled some fields at first. But the friendly tax officer calls you, explains where to correct the information, and that’s it.
Now, I just need to read the values from the inverter and wallbox alongside the electricity meter to track self-consumed and sold electricity, multiply these by the electricity price, and enter the results. The form is then copied and adjusted quarterly, which takes only about 5 minutes for every 3 months. Because of this, I was able to reclaim VAT on the entire system, including the battery and wallboxes. After 5 years, it switches to a hobby status – completed.
A small catch for owners of multiple photovoltaic systems: they are linked together, and you can only choose the assessment method for all of them combined, regardless of how different their ages are.

No. After 5 years, you switch to the small business scheme.

We are paying 1250 euros net per kWp for an 11.7 kWp system, all inclusive, including connection by an electrician and registration with the utility provider in the Franches region. The scaffolding is already in place and will be reused.

By the way, our solar installer said: We use solid 390W modules, but the manufacturer depends on what we receive.

I still need to deal with the small business/tax office issue. Is there a deadline for when this needs to be completed, or is it enough if we sort it out when we move in (January)?
I’m not afraid of the effort and would like to get the VAT back. Right now, other trades are taking priority.

The value-added tax (VAT) advance return (the method to reclaim VAT) is submitted immediately after the end of the building permit / planning permission quarter. If this is delayed, you will simply receive your money later. Eventually, it may incur a small penalty fee.

Inflation has risen sharply. What used to be expensive is now a bargain. Unfortunately.
