ᐅ American-style House – Which Home Builder Is Recommended?

Hello everyone,
My wife and I have been looking for a house builder who can realize our house in the American style (New England style) for some time.
Many prefab home builders say they can build in this style, but when we ask for reference houses, their examples are quite limited.
So, the question is whether anyone can recommend a house builder? Preferably from the southern region.
We were in contact with Greenville, but decided against them due to their unusual upfront planning fees and contract structure.
We really liked Rörvikshus, but unfortunately, it is too expensive for us. Does anyone have experience with Rörvikshus? Are the construction costs justified?

@11ant We don’t have a Swedish-style house, although it looks similar. The wall construction with solid wood exterior walls is comparable to Thoma Haus. I have no idea if they still build them the same way as they did over 20 years ago. Our general contractor was Zellbau in Bad Waldsee, which no longer exists. The work was carried out by Holzbau Walser in Bad Schussenried, whom I can warmly recommend both professionally and personally — and there are many nice things to see on their website.
@Dennis-USA I’m really happy about this thread. I really like this style and would have liked to add some bay windows, a front porch, and even small turrets at our place too 🙂Thanks. Now we just have to manage to make it affordable while maintaining decent quality…

In your case, I recommend a company nearby that specializes in timber frame construction. They also work together with architects. Yes, the question is which construction company can deliver exactly that style within an acceptable price range...
