Hello everyone,
We are going to buy a prefabricated timber frame house, delivered with the technical finish. Q2-level jointing. Now there are still visible joints at the ceiling/wall drywall transitions everywhere. In my understanding, Q2 jointing should include filling such joints, or am I mistaken?
Thank you for your answers.

No, generally not included.

fach1werk1 Mar 2022 08:19In our case, the joints between the wall and ceiling remained untreated for 2 years because the building was still settling. I couldn’t resist addressing a few very exposed spots, though. The sealed areas without exception ended up cracking. If you can be patient, it’s best to give the house time. If not, I wouldn’t apply silicone or filler but rather use molding, for example plaster molding or polystyrene molding that looks like plaster, which I would only fix to the ceiling on one side.
Good luck
