Hello,
We are considering planning for air conditioning preparation in our new build.
In which rooms does it make sense to install air conditioning?
We have a KfW 55 semi-detached house.
What needs to be done for air conditioning preparation?

Does anyone know how long the KfW can monitor or enforce penalties related to the subsidized energy certificate? In my opinion, it is 10 years. So, for the lifespan of a typical house, it is still possible to officially upgrade it later without concerns.

The grant recipient must retain the following documents for 10 years after the application confirmation and present them to KfW upon request..." (quote p. 11, information sheet for BEG Residential Building Grant 461 Efficiency House application)
"Furthermore, KfW is entitled to verify compliance with the funding conditions on-site at the grant recipient's premises (...) KfW’s inspection rights apply for 10 years from the date of application confirmation/approval." (p. 2,

HilfeHilfe3 Feb 2022 06:39With all the preparations, I am skeptical. Whenever something like the chimney, ventilation, etc., has been prepared, it often ends up not being carried out later.

Pwnage6193 Feb 2022 07:36So, do you think we can’t install an air conditioning system without losing the KfW certification unless we get a new calculation from an energy consultant?
We have a semi-detached house from the developer, and according to them, we are not even allowed to install a range hood because otherwise the KfW certification would be lost.
They won’t do a recalculation with the energy consultant.
