ᐅ If Building Again – What Would You Do Differently?

We have also built a relatively new house. What would we do differently? Nothing.
We spent quite some time visiting several model homes, then found a reliable local partner and built our “dream home.”
Many things mentioned here before were “built in” from the start.
We have many large, floor-to-ceiling windows (with electric blinds) and a wonderful view of the garden and flower beds.
We like the layout with the bedroom and walk-in closet (including a window).
The only thing that could be a bit bigger is the utility room. Otherwise, we are very happy with our decision and the choice of neighbors. 😎

This is off-topic, but I’m really surprised to hear this from you. You’re our dear shutter, heritage protection, and plush Pinki... so how is it that you’re considering ceiling spotlights???

I don’t understand what the objection is to recessed ceiling lights and why fashion trends are being used as a reason here. Building a house is a personal matter and everyone should choose what they like. I’m speaking out. We will have recessed ceiling lights in the:
- hallway
- both bathrooms
- kitchen
- terrace
- as well as around the house.

Properly "old-school" style 😎
