On the mentioned day, there is a German feature film starring Moretti: the house. The film is set in a beautiful, modern, and minimalist house and revolves around the surprises of smart home technology. For some, the house will probably be more interesting than the content of the film 😉

@hampshire My wife works for DB, and I don’t mean a branch office. And when I hear what the managers there earn, yes, it does seem unrealistic. Unrealistic in the sense of surreal. Especially considering the amount of work some have to put in. I did some research online. The HR directors at Deutsche Bahn earn around 400,000 euros per year, with the CEO earning about 900,000 euros. These are top earners but still well below what people in similar positions at other companies make. Of course, you can consider how this compares to the pay of a train driver, conductor, or others. However, I don’t find these salary levels surreal or unrealistic, even though significant bonuses are added on top of these base salaries when good results are achieved.
I am rather referring to the lower-level managers—team leaders, department heads, etc. A monthly salary of around €30,000 (approximately $32,000) seems incredibly high and inappropriate to me. But it doesn’t really matter; people can certainly have different opinions on this. Besides, it’s not really relevant to this topic. 🙂

Yes, the house design was quite appealing, although I do wonder what the film crew was thinking when they installed a TV leaning against the wall, right in the middle of the walkway.I watched the film weeks ago, and to be honest, I can hardly remember it anymore 🤨 Only the Pix-thing...
Yes, that would be the only logical explanation for leaning an oversized smartphone against the wall. However, this would still be unusual for a smart home, since a wall-mounted device, possibly even recessed into the wall with a cover panel in front, would generally make more sense here.
