Hello everyone,
We will have tiles installed on the ground floor. We originally planned to have the baseboard made from the same tile material.
However, someone suggested using a simple white wooden baseboard instead.
How did you solve this? Photos are welcome 🙂
Thank you!
PS: Please no general discussions about tiles as flooring.

...We will be laying wood-look tiles throughout the ground floor and first floor, including wood-look tile skirting. In our current rental (and also a previous one), I see wood-look skirting boards and like them, so I assume they will look good in tile form as well.Right now, I’m wondering whether our prefab house supplier will cover the costs for these, or if skirting (tiles) are not included in the offer. I will check on that.

I will check on that. For example, we excluded our "tiling package" from the house construction and had it done by a local tiler. This allowed us to choose the tiles and baseboards ourselves and pay half the price compared to the home builder.M

I think the wooden skirting boards from @Georgian2019 match the chosen tiles very well. Our wood-look tiles are rather light, but I can still imagine it working nicely.
Yes, it’s always difficult to visualize how it will look in the whole room based on just a few sample tiles. At least we find it hard to do. 🤨 Then just have the tiles installed first and decide afterwards.
For me, it’s clear that the skirting board should be made of the same material as the floor. That’s how we did it as well.
