Hello,

We are currently planning our kitchen.

Since it’s a big and unclear jungle and it’s hard to compare everything, I wanted to ask for your help.

We believe that when you go to a showroom and don’t exactly know what you want or need, you might end up paying too much.

I wanted to ask which kitchen brands are good in terms of quality and durability, without being excessively overpriced.

We basically want a mid-range kitchen for our house.

Kitchen cabinets: Nobilia or Nolte kitchens (please suggest other good brands that meet our criteria).

Kitchen appliances: Neff, Bosch, Siemens, or which appliance brands would you recommend? The appliances should have good functions and offer comfort.

Sink: no idea.

I hope you can recommend good brands for cabinets, appliances, and sinks based on your own positive experiences.

Maybe there are also kitchen builders among you who can provide advice as well.

@Benutzer200 Sounds good. Approximately how many linear meters?
The length is about 4 times 2.75 m (9 feet). Some decoration, shelves, and lamps were still missing.

Modern white kitchen unit with two ovens, extractor hood, wooden floor, and pendant lights.

More important than appliances is actually the floor plan. You can get creative and add all kinds of unnecessary corners, edges, breakfast bars, shutter cabinets, and so on. I would try to avoid that – it makes things simpler and saves money. The same goes for appliances: less is more, but good quality. Personally, I don’t need a steam oven, built-in coffee machine, plate warmer, ice maker, etc. A cooktop, oven, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher are enough for us.

Our only luxuries are a Quooker and a high-quality, durable countertop (ceramic). I really like both and enjoy them every day. By the way, I am very impressed with our 60cm (24 inch) Blanco Etagon sink – it’s really excellent.

Having an oven and a compact oven from different lines or even different manufacturers really triggers my inner perfectionist quite strongly. 😉

You'll have to live with that 😉 Function over form in this case. But in the end, it's from one manufacturer – BSH (regardless of the Neff, Bosch, or Siemens brand). The compact oven absolutely needed to include the microwave function.

I can report from IKEA: I have 6.4 running meters (21 feet) of kitchen for about 10,000 euros (including an external installer and some new and some used appliances) and 2 solid wood worktops. Everything works as it should. It was a rather expensive, but not the most expensive, front from IKEA (Kungsbacka anthracite).

Also here IKEA white lacquer with the thick, white worktop with aluminum edge. We still really like it and have already moved twice with it. Cabinets and so on were assembled by ourselves, which is very easy, appliances were purchased separately, then the already known craftsman from the internet, who assembled everything for €300. He does that really quickly; the two already know each other.
