kinogutschein17 Nov 2021 09:14Hello,
for our semi-detached house, built in 2019, we received an energy saving certificate from the builder.
Now we plan to rent out the semi-detached house starting next year, and for that, an energy performance certificate is required.
To my knowledge, the energy saving certificate provides much more detailed information. Is it allowed to present potential tenants with the energy saving certificate instead of the energy performance certificate?
Best regards
Markus

Therefore, the clear answer to your question is: No!

Presumably, the thermal insulation certificate was meant here, which, when prepared according to DIN standards, also meets the requirements of the energy performance certificate according to the Energy Saving Ordinance/Building Energy Act.
That means, I believe this should be sufficient (my thermal insulation certificate conveniently includes an energy performance certificate in the familiar format…). As if a potential tenant would complain about that…

As if a potential tenant would complain about that... In the past 10 years, I only handed one out myself, and that was upon request. But that’s a different topic 😉
