Hello,
First of all, we consciously decided against a full smart home system but would like to be able to control some of our electric roller shutters via smartphone or voice commands. (It was a cost issue, and our general contractor didn’t really have the expertise for it.) I came across the Shelly 2.5 devices.
Are they recommended? Are there better alternatives in the same price range?
Is there anything to consider with traditionally wired roller shutters that have switches at the room entrance? Since our shell construction is still in progress, we could still take some things into account if necessary.
Thanks for any information.

The question is just why? Thanks to Shelly, no one here has to worry about the roller shutters anymore. They close automatically with the setting sun and open again when it rises. Shelly is smart home technology and ideally should also be used smartly. You're right, but there are always situations where I would like to lower everything outside of the usual schedule.
I did some googling on this and came across the fact that each Shelly device can run a scene, so I might not need an i3. Is that correct? If I now give the central Shelly 2.5 the command to run scene xy via a long press, I would already be happy with that.
