ᐅ Have a single-family home 3D printed?

Hello everyone,

Since I plan to build in the next 1 to 2 years, I have been browsing the internet a bit for related topics.

The latest innovation in 3D printing caught my attention. Somehow, I find the idea of having a single-family house 3D printed quite interesting.

Has anyone here in the forum already thought about this topic or perhaps even gained some experience?

I assume it is probably not yet possible for private individuals, right?

The setup costs for flying in and assembling the printer are likely substantial, and it probably doesn’t pay off for a single house. In developing, war, or crisis regions, it could be useful to meet the demand for large-scale housing construction with permanent houses instead of temporary shelters. Within the scope of energy saving regulations and similar standards, I don’t see it as feasible: the surfaces are probably not smooth enough to create external insulation finishing systems (EIFS) walls as used in modern construction. But maybe the next generation of these robots will be able to co-extrude that already ;-)

In addition to the on-site printer, methods are also being developed to print prefabricated walls and deliver them for assembly. I find this very interesting to watch.

There is a provider here; a private individual once promoted it.

In the single-family house that was recently featured in the media, the insulation is located between two concrete walls. This is explained quite well in the program with the mouse.
