… is (not) known by everyone 😉
Why non-gourmets should watch this: because of the houses, apartments, interior design, kitchen, workflow, etc.
Today:
new, nice individual details, unfortunately quite a cold atmosphere because all surfaces appear smooth. No wood, hardly any fabric. But great pictures on the walls 🙂
Overall, I find that improvised furnishings are simply more comfortable and cozy.
And you?

I always wonder how people afford houses like the one from yesterday. Without wanting to undervalue the professions (mechanical engineering fitter and self-employed florist), the income just doesn’t seem to add up. Especially with two small children.
The house from yesterday, built in 2019 in a suburb of Ingolstadt, I would estimate to be worth between 800,000 EUR and 1 million EUR.
We must be doing something wrong... 😀 Mechanical engineering fitters, depending on their length of service and as members of IG Metall, often earn well enough to make many academics jealous.
In this region, people inherit the plot of land from their grandmother, or their parents own four of them right away…
Then they build a house on one for 500,000 to 600,000 (500K–600K) and that works out.
Everyone else, for whom this is not the case, will either not have a house here at all or will have a smaller one.

I would be careful with the criticism. There’s an implicit assumption that working professionals probably can’t afford a bigger, newer, or more stylish house based on their income.
I do agree with @haydee, but when you hear about Jolez (?), the girl from yesterday who decorates weddings in a Boho style, you realize she will likely earn well from those projects—unless she’s just one of many in her area.
Personally, I’m generally surprised by the enormous wage gap.
When you compare the range from minimum wage full-time to A15 (judge level), I’m pretty close to the former—so my advice would be: choose your profession carefully :P
Anyway... Regarding today’s house, I again notice the huge double garage... The interior itself is not particularly impressive to me personally. Otherwise, I find the overall building form more appealing than the Bauhaus-style houses.
But for the forum, it’s useful to see how, for example, wooden doors look, how an affordable kitchen works for a perfect dinner, and that sloping roofs always benefit from a knee wall, so you can sit underneath 🙂

No, it’s all good. Maybe it was misunderstood somewhat here. We probably have about double the average Hamburg income and likely a lower investment—but due to the high absolute payment obligations over such a long period, it does make you think. That’s what I meant with my comment…
Anyway. Back to the topic.
I think this thread is great. The show also airs regularly here with us. 🙂

Where are judges with salary grade A found?I know, it should be R. But someone mentioned a group A today in a thread. Ultimately, it does not matter for this discussion. The range is wide. Hopefully, the houses where people cook remain diverse 🙂
