ᐅ Cost of demolishing an old basement from 1970

Hello, we are considering buying a plot of land where an old house used to stand. The house has already been demolished, only the basement from 1970 remains. This would need a complete renovation. However, we would prefer to demolish it and build a new basement with a waterproof concrete shell (white tank).

How much should we expect for the demolition of the basement? Is it possible to partially backfill the area if a different shape is needed for the new basement?

Costs vary greatly. A large part of it is disposal. Get several quotes.

Thanks for the reply. Is there no rough estimate, like 10k or more like 70k, for example?
We would just like a general idea of what something like this might cost before buying the plot, so we don’t regret it later.

But we will probably have to get a cost estimate before buying the land.

Unfortunately, there is no fixed answer. In 2017, we received quotes ranging from 40,000 up to well over 100,000. Don’t worry, this is a much larger project.

In April, we had our house with a small basement demolished. With self-stripping and backfilling, it cost 20,000 euros. It could have been cheaper, but I preferred to have it done by the building contractor.
