Hello kitchen experts,

This thread is not about detailed kitchen planning, but rather about ideas/concepts for the general layout and the position of the connections.

A must-have are 2-3 tall cabinets that, besides the fridge, also have space for the vacuum cleaner and similar items, since there is no additional storage room on the ground floor. The house will be rented out later. Therefore, I will probably not buy and install the kitchen myself, so it would be good if as many options as possible remain open.

I’m not really happy with the architect’s plan; I think that framing the window with the tall cabinets makes the already not very spacious rooms feel even smaller. Technically, the water connection should be on the bottom or left wall.

My ideas are:
A:
- Tall cabinets (3 x 60cm (24 inches)) including the fridge along the bottom wall, possibly continuous
- Sink on the left wall (where the stove is currently drawn)
- Stove below the window, with work surfaces on both sides

B:
- Tall cabinets on the left wall (might be tight)
- Sink as indicated
- Stove below the window or next to the sink

C:
- ????

Additionally, I wonder if the wall toward the dining room should be extended beyond the kitchen cabinets. This would allow for a shallow cabinet in the dining room. However, the dining room is only 2.85m (9 feet 4 inches) wide—would that be too tight? (In my opinion, the table shown is far too small.)

Do you have any ideas? Thank you very much!

And are we all coming over to measure because of the room dimensions?

Sure :-) , but which measurements are missing in the drawing?
