ᐅ Ikea Pax Utility Room/Laundry System? – What setup do you have?

Do you have Ikea Pax in your utility room?
I’m considering planning something with Nobilia or Schüller.
Which systems do you have? Ikea Pax or similar?
I would appreciate photos.
I want to design my utility room in an appealing way without mixing different furniture brands—so preferably Ikea Pax or other manufacturers.
There are examples on the Nobilia and Schüller websites. The washer and dryer are then placed raised inside a cabinet. Is this something to be concerned about, or can it be done without any issues?
Or is it better to build masonry platforms?
As I said: photos of how your utility room looks are welcome.

Almost everything, you said it. What I put in my washing machine and how I wash high-quality fabrics, that’s my business 🙂 And how my mom’s expensive blanket is washed, too.
No, I also take baths 🙂 And then there’s the carp thing 😉
You are welcome to do that. I can also shower in my bathtub, but you can’t take a bath in your shower :p
And I also built 30sqm (320 square feet) larger than we need right away. I don’t need a house either, I just wanted one. One person this way, another that way.
And who five years ago would have thought they would need a home office space, when their desk was in the open-plan office (or used to be)?
The topic of what a bathtub can generally be used for has been discussed here many times. Hand washing clothes is only a small part of that. We don’t need to bring it up again—unless you want to, of course. Outside of my usual practices, I’m happy to give tips here in the forum about how others (or I) or in different ways handle things, so that people can generally enjoy their houses for many years, without much investment, outside the next 5 to 10 years.
Edit: I don’t wish you or your husband a sudden back pain! Oh, come on, I think I know quite well for myself what I need now and in the coming years.
We also don’t get into the tub with back pain. We had a bathtub for years but have only used it for showering (and washing motorcycle clothes) for some time now.
If you can and want to afford 30sqm (320 square feet) more, that’s great. But not everyone can or wants to. We also built a house because we wanted one. But it goes against me to build something I know I won’t use. I can spend my money differently (we also want to travel a lot in the future).
Everyone just has different preferences and ideas.

But not everyone can or wants to do that.Look, I haven’t questioned anything here. Check post #53 of mine again and look for any invitation to discuss the bathtub or a less-than-friendly tone in the chat. It’s one or the other. Hint: it’s also called humor!Myrna_Loy schrieb:
You forgot to mention corpse disposal in the list. 🙂 I’m just saying Trio Infernal or Léon: The Professional.Or Psycho... that scene with Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins, which today seems quite simple (too simple for many), where she’s showering in the bathtub (white butcher tile in the background) and he opens the plain shower curtain... brilliant! 😀

Or psycho... that scene with Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins, which nowadays is actually quite simple (too simple for many), where she’s showering in the tub (white subway tiles in the background) and he opens the simple shower curtain... brilliant! 😀Most people scream just at the sight of a shower curtain.A

I can only think of one scene from Breaking Bad....and that’s where the bathtub scene went seriously wrong 😀For example, it’s not about the walking distances for us at all, but rather that we want to have everything exactly where it is used. Mainly for the sake of order, with everything neatly stored in stylish cabinets, so nothing is left lying around here and there in the house. I’m really looking forward to that 🙂
And I hardly hang laundry outside in the garden anymore, at least for several years now. @ypg has basically already explained our reasons 🙂
