ᐅ Ikea Pax Utility Room/Laundry System? – What setup do you have?

Do you have Ikea Pax in your utility room?

I’m considering planning something with Nobilia or Schüller.
Which systems do you have? Ikea Pax or similar?
I would appreciate photos.
I want to design my utility room in an appealing way without mixing different furniture brands—so preferably Ikea Pax or other manufacturers.
There are examples on the Nobilia and Schüller websites. The washer and dryer are then placed raised inside a cabinet. Is this something to be concerned about, or can it be done without any issues?
Or is it better to build masonry platforms?

As I said: photos of how your utility room looks are welcome.

But just buy a bathtub for that, if you rarely use it otherwise?

I hand wash more often (more than 5 words) 😉

So much that you need a bathtub for it? Nowadays, every washing machine has delicate or special programs that allow you to wash almost anything.
I also have motorcycle gear that can’t go in the machine because of the membrane. In the future, I’ll just wash those in the shower. I wouldn’t consider planning an extra 2 m² (22 ft²) of space just for that.

Almost everything, exactly. What I put in my washing machine and how I wash delicate fabrics—that’s my business 🙂 And how my mom’s expensive blanket is washed, too.

Nope, I bathe too 🙂 And then there’s the carp situation 😉

You’re welcome to do that. I can also shower in my bathtub, but you can’t bathe in your shower :p
And I actually built 30 square meters (320 square feet) larger than we need. I don’t need the house; I just wanted it. Different strokes for different folks.

And who would have thought five years ago that they’d need a home office space, when their desk was in an open-plan office (had been)? 😉

The topic of what a bathtub can generally be used for has been discussed here many times. Hand washing is only a small part of that. We don’t need to bring it up again—unless you want to, that is. Outside of my usual habits, I’m happy to offer tips here in the forum on how others (or myself) do things differently, so that people can enjoy their homes for many years to come without major investments in the next 5 to 10 years.

Edit: I hope neither you nor your husband gets a back spasm!

You forgot to include corpse disposal in the list. 🙂 I’m just thinking of Trio Infernal or Léon: The Professional.

In which scene did Léon make a corpse disappear in the bathtub? I only remember a scene like that from Breaking Bad.

Nonsense, it was Nikita. Jean Reno as The Cleaner.
